“All that the Father has is mine; therefore, I said to you that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.”-John 16:15
From the Bible’s beginning to its end, we see hints of the Trinity, but in a few places, all three members appear. This verse is one of those places. Jesus said that all that the Father has is his, and that the Spirit would declare it.
The Trinity is oneness. There is never conflict. Larry Crabb says that the Trinity is the only perfect small group that has ever existed. Jesus made the Father known and he makes the Spirit known. Jesus sent the Spirit to pro-claim the Father and reveal what the Son has said, and by extension, what the Father has said. It is easy to think that what the three members of the Trinity do is quite separate, but in truth, they are truly, fully one.
Jesus, you came to show us true love. Help me to gaze at your relationship with the Father and the Spirit, so that I may see what perfect love looks like and then help me to love in that way. Amen.
